Until Android 4.4 was announced we had expected the Android 5.0 release date to be some time in October 2013. We now expect to see Android 4.4 KitKat launch during that month. In the face of that point release, we think it’s now likely that we’ll see Android 5.0 shown in mid-2014, quite possibly at Google IO, Google’s annual two-day developer conference in San Francisco.
That’s a year on from when we had originally expected to see Android 5.0, which was at Google IO 2013, which took place from May 15 to May 17 2013. Given that Google announced Android 4.1 Jelly Bean at 2012′s IO conference, it seemed reasonable to expect to see Android 5.0 at the 2013 event.
But on 13 May 2013, we got our confirmation that there would be no serving of Android 5 at Google IO from Sundar Pichai, Google’s new head of Android. Pichai told Wired that 2013′s IO is “not a time when we have much in the way of launches of new products or a new operating system”.Boo! “Both on Android and Chrome, we’re going to focus this IO on all the kinds of things we’re doing for developers so that they can write better things,” he added.
We also heard whispers that a new Nexus phone, most likely the Google Nexus 5, might be blessed with Android 5.0 and on 18 March 2013, supposed images of the Nexus 5 surfaced, with the handset apparently being manufactured by LG. If the accompanying specs, leaked along with the photo by the anonymous source, are true, then the Nexus 5 will feature a 5.2-inch, 1920 x 1080 OLED display, 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and 3GB of RAM.
Android 4.4 KitKat is finally official, and for many Android fans, it doesn't disappoint. There are a number of welcome changes and new features, but it will still feel like home for current Android users. Android 4.4 now allows you to perform many tasks with just your voice. Much like Motorola's Touchless Control, you can say "OK Google" - no need to touch the screen - to perform searches, send messages and more. One thing Google is particularly proud of is its cleaner and more modern design. Indeed, the phone app, music app and movies app, for example, look a lot prettier than before. But it's not all just looks and no brains as multitasking is claimed to be a lot faster, too. For Android users who felt left out of the emoji game - iOS users have had a wealth of emoji options built right in - 4.4 KitKat adds a number of fun ones for the kids and adults who haven't quite grown out of their LOL phase.
Android 4.4 KitKat features
The full list is long and exhausting, but there are some new features in Android 4.4 KitKat that you should know about. Google's revamped phone app now prioritizes contacts based on the people you call the most, while also enabling you to search for nearby places, businesses and contacts. Caller ID has been given some smarts, too: if you get a call from an unknown number – one which is not in your contacts - Android will attempt to match that number to a business which is listed on Google Maps. Then there is Chromecast support. That much is expected, but for those of you who are in love with the Google device that allows you to stream online music and videos to your TV. When you're listening to music, or streaming movies to Chromecast, you'll now get full-screen artwork on your lock screen, sitting behind the skip and pause buttons, and a new 'Immersive mode' hides your status bar and navigation buttons when you're reading an ebook, playing a game or watching a movie. And as we reported in the rumors leading up to the announcement of Android 4.4, the Hangouts app now handles your SMS and MMS messages along with your video calls. The new Hangouts app also allows you to share your location. Another rumored feature that has now become fact is printing from your phone or tablet. You can print to printesr connected to Google Cloud Print, to HP ePrint printers, and to other printers that have apps in the Google Play Store. There are also other add-ons like an IR blaster, low-power audio playback for up to 60 hours of music playback, built-in pedometer, NFC capabilities and improved touchscreen feedback and sensitivity. You can view the full list on Google's Android 4.4 KitKat page.
Android 4.4 KitKat release date
For those of you wondering whether your Nexus 7, Nexus 4 or Google Play Edition of the Galaxy S4 and HTC One is going to get Android 4.4, be patient. Google says the aforementioned devices will all get KitKat within the coming weeks. However, the Nexus 5 will ship with the new platform already installed, as we've all expected. When the update does come, we expect it to be pushed to devices with a notification, or users will have the option of refreshing their software update settings furiously until it arrives. For a regularly updated list of phones and tablets that will be getting a bite of KitKat check out our detailed Android 4.4 update list.
Several websites of the Goa government were reportedly defaced by a hacker belong to a group of hackers from Pakistan. According to reports, the hackers have targeted the state government websites for the second time in last few years. Among the departments whose sites were compromised are Fire Services, Captain of Ports, Goa Tourism and NRI Commission of Goa.
"Websites belonging to 13 government departments are down. They had been hacked into and defaced, but we have pulled them completely down now," a state government spokesperson is quoted as saying. According to the spokesperson, a complaint will be registered with Goa Police's cyber cell soon.
It's not the first time hackers have targeted the government websites. Back in May, Pakistan-based hackers allegedly defaced Rajasthan Public Service Commission site. The hackers targeted the news section where two links of “Pakistan Zindabad” were posted. However, the site was soon restored after cyber experts were called in.
According to CERT-In, more than 14,000 websites were hacked till October 2012, a significant 57 percent surge since 2009.
Interestingly, the government recently unveiled its National Cyber Security Policy 2013, which envisages providing a secure and robust cyberspace for Indian users including the business and government.
Announcing the new policy, Minister of Communications and IT Kapil Sibal had said: “...policy is a framework document and it gives you a broad outline of what our vision is...the real task or the challenge is the operationalisation of this policy.”
The minister had also stressed on improving cyber security for the critical infrastructure. "...air defence system, power infrastructure, nuclear plants, telecommunications system will all have to be protected to ensure there is no disruption of the kind that will destabilise the economy...instability in cyber space means economic instability no nation can afford economic instability, therefore it is essential not just to have a policy but to operationalise it," Sibal had added.

The founder of Apple Inc, Steve Jobs used to work in an Apple Farm. When he decided to start his business, he joked with his friends that if they did not suggest a name for his company he will then name it as Apple Computers. Obviously his friends could not come out with a name and hence Steve named it as Apple Computers.

WATERLOO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Sept. 18, 2013) - BBM(TM) - the iconic mobile social network - will begin rolling out for Android(TM) and iPhone(R) customers around the world from September 21. Previously exclusive to BlackBerry(R) (NASDAQ:BBRY) (TSX:BB) smartphones, BBM will be available as a free download in Google Play(TM) and the App Store(SM). Customers will be able to download BBM by visiting www.BBM.com from their smartphone browser.
BBM gives you a private social network for active, real conversations.
It's immediate. BBM is always on so you are always connected. And because messages on BBM are typically delivered and read within seconds, it's the closest thing to a live conversation.
You trust it. BBM always tells you that messages are delivered and read. BBM conversations come alive on a private network you can count on.
You control it. BBM allows you to choose your contacts and how you share your information. BBM uses a PIN so you don't have to give anyone your phone number or email address.
"BBM is a very engaging messaging service that is simple to use, easy to personalize and has an immediacy that is necessary for mobile communications," said Andrew Bocking, Executive Vice President for BBM at BlackBerry. "With more than a billion Android, iOS, and BlackBerry smartphones in the market, and no dominant mobile messaging platform, this is absolutely the right time to bring BBM to Android and iPhone customers."
BBM for Android and iPhone features:
BBM Chat - Enjoy real, immediate conversations with friends on Android, iPhone and BlackBerry smartphones. Not only does BBM let you know that your message has been delivered and read, it also shows you that your friend is responding to the message.
More than chat - With BBM you can share files on your phone such as photos and voice notes, all in an instant.
Keep your group in the loop - Multi-person chats are a great way to invite contacts to chat together. BBM Groups lets you invite up to 30 friends to chat together, and go a step further than multi-chat by sharing photos and schedules. And, with Broadcast Message, you can send a message out to all your BBM contacts at once.
Post Updates and stay in the know - BBM lets you post a personal message, profile picture and your current status, and lets your contacts know instantly in Updates.
Your unique PIN - Every BBM user has a unique PIN that maintains your privacy, so you don't have to give out your phone number or email address to a new or casual contact.
BBM will be available as a free download for Android smartphones running Ice Cream Sandwich and Jelly Bean (Android 4.x) beginning at 7AM EDT on September 21. BBM for iPhones running iOS 6 and iOS 7 will become available for each market on the App Store schedule of 12:01 AM local time on September 22. For more information, or to download BBM for Android or iPhone, visit www.BBM.com.
BBM will continue to evolve quickly. Later this year, BBM Channels will provide a forum for active, real conversations between you and the people, brands, celebrities, artists, service providers, communities and more, that matter to you. By creating a Channel, individuals and brands can engage their friends and communities in conversations sparked by their thoughts, ideas and passions. Subscribing to a Channel will let you join conversations with people who share your interests. In addition, BBM Video calling and BBM Voice calling are planned for availability for Android and iPhone in a future version.
VisitProfit.com is yet another site promising user to earn online by referring scheme. The attractive banners, ads of website promising to make 3-figure or 4- figure money in a month always compels users to try and after that they work hard till they come to know that it’s another fake website. Earning online is never as easy as these website offers atleast for the users but I am sure the site owners earn good money by getting their work done by no-paid workers like us. VisitProfit.com is one of such website. Before I reveal you the truth about the VisitProfit.com, let’s know how actually it works.
VisitProfit.com as mentioned on site is US based company which pays you for every unique visit from your referral link. Website offers 3-tier earning in which you earn even if your friends and friends of friends works and you sit idle. Setup in 2010, it is paying users twice a month through PayPal, Western Union, Direct Bank Transfer and many other ways (don`t know whether they are real or just an image on home page). It offers free registration and pays when income reach 20$ or more. That`s sound pretty impressive.
Let`s know the real truth about visitprofit.com
My Case Study:
Home-Page:
When I was reading the home page about their procedure and payment methods, I found an alphabetical mistake. They have mentioned on the left hand side- 3 Tier Earning. Oh! Sorry 3 Tire Earning. I don`t know which tire they are talking about. The correct spelling should be tier. Don`t they have time even to read their HOME PAGE atleast once. See image for reference. Conclusion: This shows that they are least concerned about the site. I have not seen any good site with such silly mistakes.
Domain Purchase Date:
Another point that I find strange is the domain purchase and expiration date. The company claims to be in market since 2010 and domain was purchased on May 10, 2013. That`s amazing that company who make money by referring scheme has no website for the last 3 years. Another thing, domain expires in 2014 exactly after 1 year from date of purchase. I doubt, if they have bought domain for free or by a coupon for a year just to try if they can fool people. See image below showing the details of domain.
Term & Conditions:
There is no page regarding terms and policy for users. Only they have mentioned one thing that they have an anti-cheat system. But while redeeming money, they raise conditions that force user to forget his earned money. As my friends worked for them, they have mentioned them below.
No Payment Proof:
They have not given any single cheque proof on website and saying that they have paid more than 40,000$ to Indians. Adding a simgle proof won`t affect their privacy and security.
VisitProfit.com is completely fraud. I have made 500$ by referring to my friends. But when it comes to pay they have raised conditions like survey filling in which you have to pay to confirm yourself as human (I was asked to by 4 DVDs of 9$ for each and shipping charges extra). Later on, they mentioned that this site only pays to US and Canada citizens. Nobody pays you so easily.
They give you survey to fill which was nothing than another trick to fool people. They are selling their own products and the cost of that stuff was more than I earned. Even few purchase that. They are just paying us nothing.
At last:
VisitProfit.com is not only fraud site on web. This post is not made to aware about VisitProfit, You can take it as an example to check legitimacy of any site before working on it. Google site and see if it has any article claiming it to be fraud, read and check if user has stated the right reasons. If you know any other site which fooled while paying or if you have doubt about any website , you can comment it`s name in comments and I will give a full review.
